Minutes of the regular meeting of the West Liberty Business
Association Board held on July 5, 2007, at 7:45 AM at the
Present were Julie McIntosh representing the Promotion Committee, Kathy Lowry, Steve Mast, Ann Morrow and Bob Rabenstein.
Ashley Frey and Kyle Terry, marketing consultants from TGM Designs, gave a proposal to manage the West Liberty Website. The presentation was very informative. A discussion concerning their proposal after they left resulted in the conclusion that their price of $1,238.00 to completely rebuild the website plus maintenance fees of $250.00 for soft-ware & training, 12 hours of support for $600.00 and $50.00 per hour for services as needed seemed a little too expensive for the Board to consider at the present time.
Treasurer, Bob Rabenstein, reported a balance on hand of $9,325.17 and net income since the first of the year of $1,150.00.
Julie reviewed results of the Paint the Town activity on June 23, 2007.There was a slight mix-up concerning the artists who were to be in town in the morning and at the castle in the afternoon. The actual schedule was reversed causing some confusion. It was decided to donate the paintings to a silent auction at the Ice Cream Social on July 14, 2007, at the Firehouse from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Julie reported that 3 different entertainers had been obtained for the Autumn Fest with several exhibitors from last year already signed up.
Julie also reported that the revision for the brochures will be done this fall.
A brief discussion concerning the Pork Dinner during the Labor Day celebration was held. Final plans will be made at the next meeting on Thursday, August 2, 2007.
Still no final decision on the benches was made. Hopefully after some more research a decision can be made at the next meeting in August.
There being no further business to come before the Board the meeting was adjourned with the next meeting to be on Thursday, August 2, 2007, at the same time and place.
Respectfully,
Stephen H. Mast, Secretary
