Minutes of the regular monthly meeting of the West Liberty Business Association Board
held on November 9, 2006, at 7:45 AM

at the Liberty Gathering Place.

Board Members present were Kathy Lowry, Steve Mast, Ann Morrow, Mark Nelson, Cindy Oelker & Bob Rabenstein. Julie McIntosh representing the Promotion Committee was also present.Minutes, which had previously been sent to the members, of the semi-annual meeting on October 10, 2006 and the meeting on October 5, 2006, were approved.

The Financial Report was presented by the Treasurer, Bob Rabenstein. A copy is attached to and made a part of these minutes.

Julie asked for approval of a recommendation from the Promotion Committee to place a sign at Route 245 and Township Road 47 encouraging people to visit West Liberty. Pro Sign Design will make and install sign for the holidays. After some discussion Cindy Oelker moved that $125.00 be approved for this expenditure. Ann Morrow seconded the motion and all voted yes.

The printer of the recent brochures on which the printing was un-satisfactory has agreed to reprint them at ½ price.

Autumn Fest appeared to be a success. Attendance was good and shops were busy. Vendors were located on Baird Street, Columbus Street and Main Street. For some reason un-known to the committee the Village has been reluctant to block parking on Main Street for the Autumn Fest.

Julie also asked for approval of a recommendation from the Promotion Committee to purchase 300 magnets advertising West Liberty at a cost of $.70 each for a total of $210.00. Initially they will be given to the participants in the Luminary Race and then they could be given to tour groups to West Liberty. Merchants could also purchase them and distribute them as they see fit. After some discussion Ann Morrow moved that this request be approved. Cindy Oelker seconded the motion and all voted yes.

Advertising for Christmas in the Village will appear in the Urbana Daily Citizen newspaper and the Bellefontaine Examiner newspaper. Three hundred flyers will be printed; 200 to be mailed and 100 for distribution around town. Members are to contact Julie if they want/need flyers.

Kathy is taking donations for 2 gift baskets for the raffle by 11-17-06. Raffle tickets will be available from Julie.

Plans for Christmas in the Village were then reviewed. Everything seems to be taken care of. Kathy will decide where the Grace Chapel Choir will be located.

Respectfully,
