Mr. Harrison had no report on the Fire Dept. Gas monitor it has been sent
in for repair. They had to borrow one from DeGraff Water Department
twice for confined space entry.
Legal Advisor Moell gave samples of basement drains ordinances and the
best one to fit our needs would be from Lodi, Ohio, if he doesn't get
anymore responses. We will wait until next meeting.
Mader Electric is waiting on the new impeller to complete to Flygt Pump
rebuild. The impeller is due about November 28th. Mr. Nash found a
problem with one of the Flygt Pumps at #1 lift station. The leak sensor
is detecting a problem and has the pump power supply locked out. They
plan to pull the pump tomorrow to determine the cause.
They have a problem with the automatic shut off switch for the power
system at the WWTP. Normally they "exercise" the Katolight generator
every Friday. The generator starts at a preset time, the automatic switch
transfers the WWTP electrical load from the power company input to the
generator input. After twenty minutes the automatic switch transfers the
load back to the power company input and the generator runs for a five
minute cool down. Last Friday the generator started at about 9 AM, the
guys left for their break and about 9:45 AM they realized the generator
was sill running. They did not loose power. Mr. Harrison found the
switch in the normal position but the automatic control board was burned
out. Mr.Harrison turned off the generator with the control panel at the
generator. Mr. Rabenstein looked at the situation and suggested
contacting the generator maintenance people. Mr. Harrison contacted
several firms listed on the "Katolight" website. They have recommended
replacement of the entire automatic switch rather than trying to but
parts and pay for the labor to install the parts. JD Equiment of London,
Ohio ahs been doing the annual service and from the damage description
the parts cost will be about $2400.00 plus shipping plus installation
cost. Watkins Electric estimates $400.00 to $500.00 for parts
installation. The other repair route would be to buy a complete new
switch with controls and replace everything but the enclosure. Cost of
the complete new switch would be about $2500.00 with installation cost of
about $200.00. In addition to being a little less expensive the second
option would require less plant down time.
This will wait until next year.
The Ford Pickup truck needed new brakes lines and found the springs were
broken and will cost about $860.00 from Liberty Oil and Gas.
A MOTION was made by Mr. Faulkner, seconded by Mr. Smith to deliver shut
off notices on November 21st, pay by November 26, shut off November 27th
to the following customers, #110 Smith, #134 Roth, #186 Ratcliff, #205
Carter, #217 Smoot, #293 Whitsett, #295 Shell Station (Bankruptcy) #324
Cordell, #340 Hunter, #346 Norris, #355 Zerkle, #380 Collinsworth, #421
Winter, #504 Lucas, and #562 Salyers. Motion Carried.
Roberta Acosta gave her report on the water and sewer rate increase. She
suggested raising the water and sewer per 1,000 gallons to $4.10,
decreasing the allotted amount to 2,000, and having a steady increase 3%
every year and this would increase the revenue to what we need. They
Board would like to make a few changes and Clerk Boyd will get Ms. Acosta
the average gallons of water used for each customer. The Board members
will look at these figures and come back with suggestions.
Pete Hodapp will have Brian of Sherwin Williams to test coat a patch on
the elevated tank of a few different alternative coatings to see how they
hold up over the winter.
A MOTION was made by Mr. King seconded by Mr. Faulkner to adjourn at 6:05
PM. Motion Carried.
